About the National Beirut League™
a league management service provider

The National Beirut League (NBL) was conceived BY people who love to play Beirut (a.k.a beer pong), FOR people who love to play Beirut. The NBL mission: "to unite Beirut league players across the nation and to support venues that provide players the ability to come together and enjoy the game responsibly." The NBL provides venues & league organizers an end-to-end solution to create and host their own Beirut league.

In pursuit of its mission, the NBL aims to help beirut & beer pong enthusiasts create new leagues, maintain the logistics of leagues, and unite existing leagues, all on one national platform.

Jerome Strange

One of the first Commissioners in the NBL, Jerome "3-Iron" Strange and DTB, SLO player Leslie from Dirty Pirates.

The growing popularity of the game has inspired the founders of the NBL to bring a level of organization to the sport like nothing it has ever seen. To overcome this challenge, the NBL team has developed easy-to-use web based software to automate the process of creating and managing a professional Beirut league. The NBL also employs a strong base of partner companies and sponsors in order to lower the cost for players and venues while providing world-class products and services. Current national sponsors include The Tailgate Guys, BJ's Beer Pong, portOpong, Adam’s Balls, The T-Shirt Guy, Niites.com and Tempe12. The NBL supports the integration of existing Beirut/beer pong leagues by welcoming them into the NBL family of players & sponsors and by providing them access to NBL's online Beirut league software & services.

By enabling venues to run legitimate, functional Beirut leagues, the NBL allows players in their local areas to come together and compete in an organized, professional environment. Online, players are able to create a team profile within their league to view season stats, schedule, and communicate with other league teams. Extra benefits include membership in the NBL Player's Association for all registered league players.

The NBL is also dedicated to the principle of responsibility and to the enhancement of the game. By hosting Beirut games in venues such as bars and nightclubs, players are encouraged to be more responsible because they are subject to the behavioral standards of the establishment. At the same time, a reputable venue elevates the publicity of league competition and promotes the legitimacy of the game.

Up the Stakes. Play for Real.

What is Beirut?

Beirut, also known as “beer pong”, is one of the most well known social games among college students and bar patrons across the country. The game is played by two teams of two who take their places on opposing sides of a Beirut table. Each team has a set of ten cups, partially filled with a beverage, arranged in a triangle on the table in front of them. Each team takes turns tossing ping-pong balls with the goal of making the ball into their opponents' cups. If a player successfully makes a cup then that cup must be removed. A team is declared the winner once all of their opponents' cups are eliminated. Specific rules for Beirut vary depending on location and are commonly called “house rules”. Beirut players love the game due to its competitive nature, witty trash talking, and team camaraderie.
