Welcome to the National Beirut League™'s Official Website!
NBL Mission Statement
The National Beirut League™ was formed to unite Beirut players across the nation and to support venues that provide players the ability to come together and enjoy the game responsibly.
What is Beirut?
Beirut, also known as beer pong, is one of the most well known social games among college students and bars patrons across the country. The game is played by two teams of two who take their places on opposing sides of a Beirut table. Each team has a set of ten cups, partially filled with a beverage and arranged in a triangle on the table in front of them. The teams take turns tossing ping pong balls with the goal of making them into their opponents' cups. If a team successfully makes a cup then that cup must be removed. A team is declared a winner once the players successfully make all of their opponents' cups. Specific rules for Beirut vary depending on the location and are commonly called “house rules”. Beirut players love the game due its competitive nature, comic trash-talking, and team comradery.
